Betsy Keith Schwarzentraub

Betsy graduated from the University of Redlands (cum laude), including a year-plus in France, then received a Bachelor of Divinity from the Pacific School of Religion, and started pastoring churches in the California-Nevada Conference of The United Methodist Church. Along the way she earned a Doctor of Ministry from the San Francisco Theological School (San Anselmo, CA).

She is the author of "Afire With God: Becoming Spirited Stewards," "Stewardship: Nurturing Generous Living," and has contributed to twelve other books. She's currently working on her third book, "Growing a Generous Soul." After years as a pastor plus other ministries, she became Director of Stewardship for the CA-NV UM Foundation and Conference. Before retiring in 2011 was Director of Stewardship for her denomination. Check out generousstewards.wordpress.com.

I have many great memories of the years at Los Altos High, including a love of English and enjoyment of teachers and classmates in the Honors English class each year; art classes and after-school time in the art room and library; and teachers Ms. Pelton, Ms. Gressang, and Mr. Helton.
