A number of good colleges and universities thought that I was a good prospect: I proved them wrong. On the upside, though, I was never convicted of a felony.

I have lived in Oklahoma since 1972, doing my best to make sure that the state regularly appears in the news in ways that confound the rest of the nation.

After graduating from college in 1997 (is there anyone out there who can break my record for the longest undergraduate hiatus?), I went to law school. Lawyering is fun! but I am in the process of winding down for retirement.

I discovered late that I was wrong about love for decades. I'm now co-starring with the best leading man in the sweetest of love stories.
